Our corporate client owned a commercial building in Cape Coral, Florida that was directly in the path of Hurricane Ian. They also operated a business of their own out of their building. The insurance company refused to acknowledge the need for a roof replacement or the expansive interior water damage suffered from roof leaks. The insurer also denied any payment to our client for loss of business income for closure that occurred over one week. No payment was issued. Our law firm sued the insurance company on our client’s behalf and obtained $315,000.00 within six months.
