Our client in Port Saint Lucie, Florida suffered damage to his metal roof and ensuing water leaks and mold due to an unusually strong Florida summer storm in which wind speeds peaked at approximately 55 miles per hour. His insurance company denied the claim altogether. Our firm was hired and initiated court proceedings. During the case, our attorney discovered that the insurance company did not physically inspect the portion of the roof that suffered the most damage. We also hired an expert for our client who created a report stating the insurance company’s decision was wrong. After a hard fought legal battle, the insurance company agreed to pay our client $70,000.00, which allowed him to install a new metal roof and pay for repairs to his master bathroom.
